Why These Workshops Matter
Getting kids started early with life skills like cooking and sewing lays a strong foundation for independence. The Cloverbud workshops offer hands-on learning that’s both fun and practical.
Kids get a chance to pick up basics in food, nutrition, and sewing. Those are skills they’ll probably use for the rest of their lives, right?
The Benefits of Learning Food and Nutrition
Knowing how to handle food and understand nutrition is key for a healthy lifestyle. The Food Session covers a few important things:
- Kitchen Safety: Kids learn how to move around the kitchen safely and avoid accidents.
- Measuring Ingredients: They’ll get the hang of measuring things out, which is pretty important for any recipe.
- Snack Preparation: Everyone gets to make a simple, healthy snack. It’s hands-on and tasty.
The Importance of Sewing Skills
Sewing isn’t just about making things—it’s about creativity, patience, and careful attention. Here’s what the Sewing Session covers:
- Sewing Safety: First up, kids learn how to keep themselves safe while sewing.
- Sewing Machine Basics: They’ll get to know the sewing machine and how to use it.
- Small Sewing Project: Everyone finishes a small project and gets to take it home. There’s something satisfying about making something with your own hands.
Why Parents Should Get Involved
Parents or guardians need to stick around during the workshops. It’s not just about supervision—it’s a chance to spend time together and maybe even learn something new alongside your child.
Plus, sharing these activities helps build a sense of community and teamwork. You might even have a little fun yourself.
How to Register
Registration is simple but needs to be done by Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Only the first 12 kids per session can join, so it’s smart to sign up early.
You can pick one or both sessions, but you’ll need to register for each separately. Head to this link to sign up.
